Billing Analyst

**Overview**

This position is responsible for the administrative portion of our billing department. Professionalism, communication skills and attention to detail are key in this position
**Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities**
- perform billing responsibilities for assigned client accounts for multiple Soroc legal entities across multiple tax jurisdictions
- Follow up on Billings for all lines of business
- Liaise with other Soroc departments and acquire necessary paperwork and details in order to bill the client properly
- Assist other Billing Analysts with back log
- Interpret client contracts and define billing opportunities
- Manage multiple tasks within tight timelines
- Creation of reporting to client or other Soroc departments as needed
- Preparation and processing of credits as required
- Delivery of invoices via internet portals or via other delivery methods
- Preparation of customized invoicing and supporting backups
- Audit of supplier and third party invoices used to prepare client invoicing
- Liaise with clients to support monthly maintenance charges/reporting
- Assist with billing setup and onboarding of NEW clients or new business opportunities within existing accounts
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

**Knowledge and Skill**
- 3 years administrative experience in a similar environment required
- 3-5 years of billing experience is recommended
- Detail oriented with strong organizational and prioritization skills
- Excellent written (grammatical) and verbal communication skills
- Good team player
- Work well under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and with mínimal supervision
- Quick learner / self starter
- Knowledge of Legislated EHF programs and associated charges
- Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
- Working Knowledge of ServiceNow Application for service request ticketing
- Working Knowledge of Microsoft suite of products(Word/Outlook)
- Working Knowledge of Sage Mas500 Accounting Application
- Working Knowledge of Sage Timesheet
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Teams
- Working Knowledge of Netsuite Accounting Application
- Experience with Adobe Acrobat
- Experience with A-PDF Splitter

**Health and Safety Responsibilities**
- Work in compliance with the provisions of the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA), regulations, and internal health and safety policies and procedures
- Use or wear the equipment, protective devices or clothing required by Soroc Technology Inc.
- Report to your Manager any missing or defective equipment or protective device which could endanger someone
- Report to your Manager any contravention of the OHSA regulations, or Soroc Technology Inc. safety policies and procedures by another employee or customer
- Report any observed hazards to your Manager
- Do NOT remove or make ineffective any protective device without providing an adequate temporary substitute. When the work is complete, the original protective device must be replaced immediately
- Do NOT engage in any prank, contest, feat of strength, unnecessary running or rough and boisterous conduct
- Know, understand and implement safe work practices and procedures
- Know, understand and employ established rules and procedures for handling materials, equipment and processes (e.g. use proper lifting techniques, etc.)
- Use equipment and materials only in the manner intended
- Report all injuries, incidents and unusual conditions immediately to your Manager
- Inspect work area daily and report any hazards immediately to your Manager

**Working Conditions**

The Billing Analyst will alternate between sitting and standing for eight hours per day. He or she will be required to use office equipment, such as a computer, fax machine and telephone. They will work mainly in an indoor, temperature moderated, well-lit environment. Some light lifting may be required from time to time.
