**Production Coordinator**

Reports to: Production Supervisor

**Key roles and accountabilities**:

- Distribute and assign work based on production schedule.
- Co-ordinate and schedule the activities of production line workers who operate processing machines and grade, test, and package products.
- Under direction from Production Supervisor, establish methods to meet production schedules, resolve work problems and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality.
- Check and weigh materials and products and complete required production reports.
- Produce product labels for assigned work area.
- Complete daily production reports for distribution
- Identify potential quality concerns prior to processing products.
- Ensure processing machines are performing at maximum efficiency by being aware of the basic operational processes of the machines and knowing how to resolve simple irregularities. Immediately report large scale mechanical failures to the Production Manager/Supervisor.
- Conduct employee training as required in new procedures and implementations.
- Provide orientation to all new employees in reference to the specific hazards of the job, controls, and protection.
- Monitor employee performance and adherence to Shashi Foods’ processes and health & safety program.
- Track and report employee time and attendance for tardiness or consistent absenteeism.
- Other related duties as may be required in the day-to-day operations of Shashi Foods.
- A Team Lead must always be on duty during production.

**Required Qualifications**:

- Completion of High School and / or similar experience
- 3-5 years experience in a food processing environment
- Good command of the English language both written and oral
- Organized, detail oriented and accurate
- Flexibility to work different shifts and overtime
- Competency using Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, Word, Outlook)
