The Production Planner/Analyst will create, modify, and manage production schedules. This role will monitor jobs status and provide regular order status updates to ensure customer commitments are met. The Production Planner/Analyst will lead the daily production meetings to ensure all stakeholders are aligned.
The Production Planner/Analyst should be knowledgeable in data analysis, with the ability to use transactional data to create effective timely reporting.
**Responsibilities**
- Evaluating sales orders to create suitable production schedules
- Generate/print work orders based on backorder review
- Oversee the creation of nonstock work orders and ensure timely closure with all materials properly allocated
- For ECO/customer changes perform impact analysis as it pertains to production
- Ensure product lines are balanced with the appropriate quantity of job/sub-jobs to meet customer demand
- Lead solution-driven daily team meetings with the supporting teams; Materials, Quality, Engineering, Logistics and Sales
- Promptly address and resolve production issues to minimize delays in production
- Inform the relevant departments of changes to current production schedules
- Review daily metrics trends and deploy actions as needed
- Escalate to leadership when support is needed
- Compile status and performance reports and submit them to leadership
- Continuous development/improvement of ERP / MES systems as it pertains to production
- Assist in Yearend physical inventory counts and take the lead for all Finished Goods (FG) and Work in Process (WIP) items
- Ensure sales orders and work orders are accurate, costed properly and accounted for
- When required additional roles and responsibilities may be assigned at the discretion of the Production Manager
**Requirements**:
- Relevant College or University education
- Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) accreditation or other relevant certification is advantageous
- Strong knowledge of ERP & MES systems
- Proficient in data analysis and report generation
- Knowledge in lean manufacturing, inventory management and scheduling
- Project management skills or experience would be an asset
- Experience managing inventory levels following the principles of lean manufacturing
- Minimum 3 years experience in a manufacturing planning role
- Strong computer skills, particularly in data analysis and report generation
- Strong analytical skills and experience using VBA Programming, Machine Learning or Python a definite asset
- Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English
- Thrive in a fast-paced - deadline-oriented environment
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to multi-task
- Must have a good attitude and possess strong communication and people skills
