**Position Overview**:
CTH Instruments is a Specialty Distributor and Valve Actuation Company. Representing industry leading brands; this position focuses on sales in the four Atlantic Canadian provinces.
**Key Responsibilities**:
**Estimating**:
- Analyze project specifications, drawings, and related documents to prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates.
- Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and operations teams to validate project requirements.
- Identify and quantify cost and lead time factors
- Use estimating software/tools to calculate and document estimates.
- Assist in value engineering efforts to provide cost-effective solutions for clients**.**:
- Follow up on project bids and proposals to secure contracts.
**Sales**:
- Build and maintain relationships with new and existing clients to drive sales opportunities. Communicate with potential and existing clients to understand project needs and requirements.
- Using a consultative approach with customers to identify their mechanical project requirements and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals.
- Negotiate contract terms, pricing, and schedules in alignment with company policies.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Follow up on quotes and proposals to convert estimates into sales orders.
- Work closely with the sales team to ensure estimates align with company capabilities and lead times.
**General Duties**:
- Maintain detailed records of estimates, sales activities, and customer interactions in the CRM system.
- Support the project management team by providing clear and accurate project handoffs
- Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
- Travel is a possibility to attend Manufacturer Training Seminars and Industry-related trade shows
- Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities.
**Qualifications**:
- Diploma in mechanical technology, business, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with CRM and business systems.
- Ability to multitask, manage priorities and respond to deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving and negotiation abilities.
- The ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and project specifications.
**Preferred Skills**:
- Familiarity with MS Business Central software, Adobe, MS Office, and project management [KD3] tools.
- Experience in a customer-facing role within a technical environment.
- Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
- Experience in technical industry related to estimating.

Pay: $52,273.00-$60,000.00 per year
