**Location/**Lieu: Hamilton Area/Niagara Regions

**Position/**Poste: Employment Support Worker: I month contract (part time)

**Duties/**Fonctions:
The Employment Support Worker engages as part of the Vocational Rehabilitation Team in the Hamilton/ Niagara Regions to provide a variety of employment/retention supports to consumers in our employment program including but not limited to:

- Receiving/reviewing consumer files, employment plan, description of workplace, and progress reports
- Providing support on site or remotely in workplace environments, job and job site analysis
- Complete assigned tasks to identify need for workplace supports, possible support solutions and the service plan
- Implementing service solutions to meet client needs, including on site coaching at place of employment or remotely as assigned
- Documenting workplace activities objectively
- Assist employer to implement natural supports and to assume ongoing supervision and training of the consumer
- Employer relations - receive employer feedback regarding consumer’s performance and MODC services.Identify potential employment programs/services and assist with needs analysis and/or surveys as requested

**Qualifications/**Compétences requises:

- Degree in social services or equivalent from a Community College/University or equivalent; general business knowledge. A Certificate in Adult Education is also an asset
- Experience in vocational rehabilitation work with persons who have disability related employment barriers
- Experience teaching and coaching adults
- A varied employment history with experience in several occupations is also an asset
- Valid Ontario driver's license and reliable vehicle
- Excellent organizational, written, and verbal skills, basic computer skills
- Sensitivity to needs of employers, referral sources
- Clean Vulnerable Sector Criminal Check
