CanCap Group Inc. (“CCPI”) is an evolving, dynamic national financial services company with head office located in downtown Toronto. CCPI’s current core business is indirect and third-party originations and servicing of auto and consumer loan receivables, which has been built on a foundation of best-in-class people and processes. It manages the entire lifecycle of the receivable from credit adjudication through to contract administration, customer service, default management and post charge-off recoveries.**What Your day and week could look like**
- We are on a journey to transform the way we use data. Adopting big data cloud tooling and ideas (Databricks), we are transforming the way the business uses data to operate, analyze, and assess risk as such we are expanding the team to bring on analysts who want to break new ground together.As a Data Analyst, you will play a crucial role in taking raw data and delivering actionable insights, as well as contributing to developing and maintaining our data infrastructure.**Key Responsibilities**:
- Perform exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and outliers.
- Develop data cleaning, transformation, and validation processes.
- Develop data visualizations and analysis, combining multiple data sets, to deliver key insights through various reporting methods.
- Design and implement data pipelines that are efficient, efficient data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.
- Develop and maintain Python scripts for automating data processing workflows.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and to deliver meaningful insights.
- Taking ownership by learning how the business operates then propose and develop data pipelines to automate business processes.**Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or relevant experience (e.g., Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics).**Must Have**- Strong proficiency in SQL
- A working knowledge of Python
- Experience with big data technologies (Databricks)
- Familiarity with data visualization/ BI tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau).
- Good understanding of database systems (e.g. MSSQL)
- A natural curiosity about how to improve systems and processes.**Nice to Have**- Experience with big data technologies (Databricks)
- Experience building Data Pipelines.
- Working knowledge of Spark
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git)**Next Steps**-
