**About the role**
The Business Intelligence Manager is responsible for leading the business intelligence team and the strategic approach to leveraging data driven insights. This role will be responsible for leading our reporting efforts, extracting and analyzing data in a cloud-based environment, building the framework for our organizational reporting and dashboard services, and providing actionable insights to business leaders.
**What you'll do**
- Provide leadership and strategic direction to the business intelligence team, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
- Oversee and manage the development and maintenance of reporting efforts, data extraction, and analysis within a cloud-based environment.
- Design and implement the framework for organizational reporting and dashboard services to enhance decision-making processes.
- Deliver actionable insights and comprehensive data analysis to business leaders to support data-driven decision-making.
- Develop and manage an enterprise business intelligence strategy and ecosystem to achieve organizational goals.
- Ensure the quality, accuracy, and integrity of data extracted from cloud-based sources.
- Collaborate with business executives, clients, and cross-functional teams to identify and capture requirements for interactive data visualizations and reporting dashboards.
- Present data-driven insights and recommendations to business leaders effectively.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the BI reporting team to enhance their skills and ensure high performance.
- Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in business intelligence and data analytics to continuously improve practices.
- Ensure compliance with data security, privacy regulations, and organizational policies related to data management.
- Facilitate training sessions and workshops to educate staff on the effective use of BI tools and techniques.
- Analyze and interpret complex data sets, identifying key trends and patterns to inform strategic initiatives.
- Develop and maintain data governance policies and procedures to ensure data consistency and reliability.
**The skills you bring**
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience using BI tools for data visualization (ex. Power BI, Tableau, Looker, etc.)
- Familiarity with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP) is strongly preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets
- Previous experience working in an Agile environment
- Advanced SQL ability is strongly preferred
- Previous experience leading a team in a supervisory role is strongly preferred
