Line Cook - Power Plant Grill

As Line Cook at Power Plant Grill you will be responsible for providing professional leadership and direction to kitchen team members. You will be responsible to ensure that all recipes, food preparations, and presentations meet restaurant's specifications and commitment to high quality.

Wage based on experience.

**Duties**:

- Ensure that all work stations remain stocked before and during the meal periods
- On the line cooking, calling orders and staging the timing of plate execution
- Maintain kitchen, counters, dishes, and storage areas clean and organized all the time
- Set excellent examples of guest / customer service and work quality
- Maintain a healthy, safe, orderly, and sanitized kitchen
- Lead by example, using proper food-handling techniques.

Qualifications:

- Strong knowledge of local health, safety and food-handling laws and regulations
- Knowledge of proper use and maintenance of kitchen equipment and tools, including stoves, refrigerators, slicers, knives, and dish machine is an asset
- Professional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced work environment
- Open to taking directions; work well independently and as a member of a team
- Flexibility and reliability is a must.
- Wage based on experience

Required Training and Experience:

- A minimum of 1 year work experience in a food preparation position
- Required licenses, certificates and registrations:

- Extensive cooking and production experience is an asset
- Food safe certification is an asset
- First aid certification is an asset
