**Line Cook - Power Plant Grill**

**Job Summary**:
As a Line Cook, you will be required to maintain our culinary standards and production in the F&B Division. You will be responsible to ensure that all recipes, food preparations, and presentations meet the Restaurant's specifications and commitment to high quality.

**Duties**:

- Work the Restaurant line on every station (Hot side: Grill, Pans, Pass/Expo, Fryer | Cold side: Salad, Desserts, Appetizer, Gardemanger)
- Prepare daily production lists as directed by Chef de Cuisine & Sous Chef.
- Ensure that all kitchen stations remain stocked before and during service periods.
- Follow all recipes and portion servings correctly.
- Prepare orders called by Chef and control cook preparation timing and platting execution.
- Clean and organize all kitchen prep areas, counters, equipment, storage areas, etc.
- Work in the Preparation and Dishwashing stations if required.
- Receive products; verify the invoices and products for correct delivery and storage.
- Set excellent examples of guest/customer service and work quality.
- Maintain a healthy, safe, orderly, and sanitized station.
- Use proper food-handling safety and sanitation techniques.
- Perform other related duties as required by the Chef de Cuisine and/or Sous Chef.

**Qualifications**:

- Strong knowledge of cooking skills and techniques.
- Knowledge of proper use and maintenance of kitchen equipment and tools.
- Professional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Positive work ethic and attitude.
- Strong organizational and timing skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced work environment.
- Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.
- Open to taking directions; work well independently and as a member of a team.

**Required Training and Experience**:

- A minimum of 2 years work experience in a food preparation/line cooking position.
- Food safe certification is an asset.
- First aid certification is an asset.
- WHMIS Certification is an asset

Part-time hours: 16-40 per week

**Salary**: $16.00-$18.00 per hour
