**General Labouer/Rebar Operator**

A&H Steel Vancouver is a fully integrated, full-service rebar provider with 50 years of experience in the supply, fabrication and installation of rebar in residential, commercial and industrial sectors. The company has been an Edmonton
- based, family-owned rebar business since 1970, and we have recently expanded with the opening of the Maple Ride facility next to the Fraser River.

We are currently looking for an experience shear and bender operator for our shop team.

The following position is required to perform a variety of simple to moderately complex material handling and machine operator duties, involving shearing and bending rebar while focusing on safety and quality.

**Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities**:

- Shearing rebar
- Bending rebar
- Clear sheared materials from storage racks, supply stock length rebar for cutting operations, receive and position steel bundles on stock shear racks.
- Assist in the process of tracking production in the shop
- Produce high quality rebar pieces that are accurate to the Bar Lists provided.
- Ensure all employees and visitors adhere to safe work procedures for the equipment being operated.
- Ensure good housekeeping in order to perform work safely and efficiently.
- Help ensure work is completed as scheduled.
- Complete tasks in a safe and efficient manner.
- Live by the company values.

**Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities**:

- Experience working with Rebar is considered an asset.
- Forklift experience is considered an asset.
- Crane operator license is considered an asset
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Position will require exposure to heat, cold, wet and/or humid conditions, vibration and industrial manufacturing noise.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and to stand 8-10 hours.
- Ability to follow safety policies and procedures is required.

**Compensation and Benefits**
