Mega Rebar, a newly established rebar fabricator and distributor situated in Maple Ridge BC, is actively seeking motivated individuals to join our team as Rebar Detailer/Estimator. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity that offers competitive compensation and benefits. Our brand-new facility is equipped with top-of-the-line equipment, computer hardware, and software.

As a Rebar Detailer/Estimator, you will play a crucial role in the planning and execution of projects by estimating project costs as well as creating detailed drawings and specifications for reinforced steel structures.

**Core Duties**:

- Create accurate and detailed shop drawings for reinforced concrete structures based on project specifications, architectural plans, and engineering drawings.
- Prepare and organize documentation related to rebar detailing, including material lists, bar bending schedules, and other relevant information. Submit Bar Lists to shop for fabrication and delivery.
- Ability to analyze tender packages, including blueprints to provide accurate estimates and do budget costing.
- Work closely with project managers, general contractors, engineers, installers, and other team members to understand project requirements and ensure that rebar detailing meets design and safety standards.
- Review and verify the accuracy of drawings to ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and local building codes.
- Maintain open and effective communication with project stakeholders to address any questions or concerns related to rebar detailing.
- Utilize industry-standard software (AutoCAD, Asa studio, Revit, Tekla Structures, etc.) for rebar detailing to produce high-quality drawings.
- Deadline Management: Prioritize and manage work assignments to meet project deadlines and milestones.

**Work Conditions**
- Office work in a newly built, clean, and air-conditioned building.
- Overtime hours may be required to meet operational demands.
- Must be flexible to work early mornings and late evenings.

**Qualifications and Education Requirements**:

- Proven experience (2+ years) as a Rebar Detailer/Estimator in the construction industry, with a strong portfolio of successfully completed projects.
- Proficient in rebar detailing software (AutoCAD, Revit, Tekla Structures, etc.) and a solid understanding of construction principles and materials.
- Computer understanding of Word, Excel & Outlook.
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and processes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- High attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate and error-free drawings.
- Excellent mathematical and analytical skills for accurate estimations.
- Ability to identify and solve problems related to rebar detailing and construction processes.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- ASA experience is an asset.

**Salary**: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
