**Job Posting: Rebar Shear and Bending Operator (Rebar Fabricator) at Mega Rebar**

Mega Rebar, a newly established rebar fabricator and distributor situated in Maple Ridge, BC, is actively seeking motivated and safety-conscious individuals to join our team as Shear and Bending Operators. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity that offers competitive compensation and benefits. Our brand-new facility is equipped with top-of-the-line equipment.

**Core Duties**:

- Operate a shearing machine to cut reinforcing steel bars to specific lengths.
- Operate a bending machine to bend reinforcing steel bars to specified shapes.
- Operate an overhead crane to move, assemble, and select material to be fabricated or shipped.
- Maintain the shop or designated area in a clean and safe manner.
- Work effectively as part of a team to ensure productivity and efficiency.
- Other duties as assigned or required.

**Work Conditions**:

- Work in a covered environment
- The daily use of personal protective equipment, including safety glasses, steel-toe work boots, gloves, hard hats, and hearing protection, will be required.
- Highly repetitive tasks.
- Heavy lifting required.
- Overtime hours may be required to meet operational demands.
- Must be flexible to work early mornings and late evenings.
- Must be familiar with and adhere to shop safety policies and procedures.

**Minimum Qualifications and Education Requirements**:

- Must have basic math skills to calculate bar measurements.
- Must be able to read a measuring tape.
- Ability to lift, bend, twist and maneuver without physical restrictions.
- Ability and willingness to follow directions as well as the ability to work independently.
- Good understanding of customer service for both internal and external customers.

**Experience**:

- Rebar Fabrication: 5 years.
