Maintenance Technician

Forsythe Lubrication is a family owned, 100+ year lubricant manufacturing facility located in Hamilton, ON.
We are presently looking for a motivated **Maintenance Technician** to join our growing team.
Practical knowledge and experience in preventative and predictive maintenance, pipe fitting, and welding is required. Main components include piping, pumping, and blending liquids.
This position is a full-time permanent position, working Monday to Friday days with full benefit package. We are looking to fill this position as soon as possible. Experience in manufacturing facility is required.
**Requirements & Responsibilities**:
- Preventative Maintenance of liquid blending and packaging equipment
- Knowledge of 5S system would be an asset
- Cleanliness and general upkeep of the facility
- Welding and pipe fitting
- Forklift Operator Certification: WHMIS Certificate
- Troubleshoots and performs repairs as required
- Performs all preventative and predictive maintenance safely and on schedule to meet deadlines
- Maintains machinery to required code
- Able to routinely perform work independently and maintain a high level of accuracy and safety while performing duties
- Very good interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
- Managing the maintenance budget by controlling cost planning repairs and finding the best pricing. Good experience with outside sourcing, quoting and negotiating
- Excellent English oral and written skills
- Be willing to work overtime when necessary
- Maintain a safe working environment and good housekeeping
- Required to work well with outside contractors
- Work as a team member in all situations
- Must be able to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment
- Good use of Maintenance Tools / Machines
- Attend Maintenance Meetings
- Must be a hard worker and be very dedicated to getting all jobs completed on time. - Should be detail oriented and have strong organizational skills.
