We are currently seeking to hire **Maintenance Technicians** at our brand-new meat processing facility in **Hamilton, ON**

the company provides protein (poultry, beef, pork) solutions to the food processing and distribution sector. We simplify supply chain services and provide expanding value to the protein sector across our three locations in Brampton, Hamilton, and Mississauga.

We are excited to announce the expansion of a newest Processing facility in Hamilton that is: 25,000 square foot that allows for 200,000 kg of weekly multi protein grinding and daily custom boxing and blast freezing

**What You will Be Doing/Position Details**:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the upkeep of the Processing Facility in Hamilton assisting in all areas of equipment maintenance and other duties as assigned related to their role. This includes equipment and machinery troubleshooting, repair, maintenance and following safety protocol and compliance. While following paperwork and documentation management guidelines.

**Accountabilities and Detailed Activity**:
**Equipment Routine Maintenance**
- Build, design, assemble, and debug new equipment.
- Maintain the mechanical and electrical components in a food processing component assembly line, build, machine, and debug new equipment for future business.
- Electrical systems installation to 480 VAC.
- Pneumatic, Hydraulic and systems maintenance.
- Operation of Tool Room Equipment (I.E. Lathes, Grinders, Welding & Fabricating, Bridgeport Drill Press, torches Etc.).

**Troubleshooting & Repair**
- Perform preventative maintenance.
- Troubleshoot electrical systems.
- Control systems troubleshooting (PLC).

**Paperwork & Documentation Management**
- Record and document all repairs / modifications on internal Work Order system.

**Safety Protocol & Compliance**
- Operate in a safe manner, ensure equipment is in safe working order.
- Ensure machines are safety compliant (i.e.: guards in working order).

**Minimum Requirements**:

- Minimum 1 year of experience in assembly, manufacturing and equipment maintenance
- Previous mechanical repair experience is an asset
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics
- Demonstrated mechanical and electrical aptitude
- Control system experience is a plus
- Experience in a meat processing environment is an asset
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent combination of experience and education.
- Degree in facilities or industrial maintenance and/or technology with relevant licenses and certificates may be required.
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally
- Computer system: excel, material control
- Good mathematical skills
- Thrives in a team environment
- Comfortable with meat production environment
