Summerhill Market is looking for a Bulk Foods Packager.

The Bulk Foods Packagers main responsibility is to prepare individual packages of goods from a larger bulk food source then labeling and tracking them.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:
As a member of the Summerhill Market team, you will conduct yourself with integrity and are committed to providing the best possible service to Summerhill’s customers, staff and clients.

The responsibilities of the Bulk Foods Packager include but are not limited to the following:

- Package and prepare bulk item offerings for sale in the retail areas of the Summerhill Market;
- Unpack and store supplies in cupboards and other storage areas
- Maintain a clean work area throughout your shift;
- Communicating any issues with regards to inventory levels, raw materials or the department as a whole to your supervisor;
- Maintaining Health and Safety Standards as defined under the Health and Safety Act and in accordance with Toronto Public Health regulations;
- Any other reasonable tasks as assigned.

**Skillset Requirements**:

- Ability to work well with others and be part of a team;
- Ability to use scales to weigh foods and proper operation of equipment;
- Assist as required with packaging and pricing;
- Ensure proper stock is available for customers;
- Ability to stand, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, push and pull items weighing 50 pounds or less;
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions;
- Ability to work varying shifts, weekends and holidays.

**Education & Experience**:

- Food Handlers certification an asset
- WHMIS certification an asset
- Completion of secondary school is preferred
- On-the-job training will be provided
