The Opportunity:
We are looking for a Maintenance Operations Supervisor to join our team. The mission of the role is to provide leadership and operational oversight by maintaining portable sanitation assets, organizing safe inventory, yard and shop areas, ensuring efficient delivery and pick ups of restroom trailers and temporary fence, ensuring efficient field execution of Special Events, and developing trained teams who consistently deliver dependable, high-quality service.

This position reports to the Maintenance Operations Manager. We have a structured training program that includes training on the operations of the department, best practices for customer service, and leadership training for Supervisors.

We are located in Headingley, Manitoba. There is no bus service, so you must have reliable transportation to and from work.

Compensation: $50-60K

What you’ll be doing:

- Leading and managing the Maint Ops team, including hiring, timesheets and quarterly reviews- Team tasks: ensuring portable sanitation units in the yard are ready for service (cleaning and repairs), customer service for temporary fence, restroom trailer deliveries/pickups, and executing field plans for special events- Ensuring yard and shop are clean, organized and safety compliant- Following up with customer concerns to ensure customer satisfaction- Creating and executing training plans for the team- Ensuring portable sanitation consumable inventory is counted and always available- Coordinating after hours services for temporary fence, restroom trailers and special events

- Occasionally contributing hands-on during tight deadlines

The skills you bring:

- Experience as a shop/yard Supervisor or Lead Hand- Ability to perform yard and shop maintenance tasks with creativity and innovation- Ability to organize a shop environment- Superior communication skills (written, verbal and understanding of who and when)- Ability to develop people and hold them accountable- Reliability and follow-through on commitments- Proactivity and initiative- Ability to plan and execute customer-based solutions- Ability to lift 70 lbs and execute the physical tasks of the job- Ability to work outside year-round in all weather conditions- Valid Class 5 license and drivers abstract- Forklift license or yard equipment experience considered an asset
