**Position Summary**:
We are currently recruiting a **Sanitation Worker**to join our Edmonton **K2 Production Plant**. Reporting to the Sanitation Supervisor, the purpose of this position is to clean and sanitize the production area and machinery in a safe and efficient manner, to enable the continuity of activity, and ensure sanitation standards are maintained.

The tasks are, but not limited to, the cleanliness of the plant and external premises, all equipment, machinery, and utensils in the production process.

**Responsibilities**:

- Ensures adherence to all Company policies and procedures
- Ensures Company Health & Safety Standards are met and maintained
- Maintains neat, tidy, and organized work station
- Ensures accurate completion of Safety and HACCP forms
- Completes and sign daily sanitation work orders, noting any deviations with the tasks.
- Sweeps, mops, scrubs all areas on production/foyer floor
- Removes all garbage from the production plant
- Cleans staff washrooms and lunchroom
- Cleans and sanitize large bakeshop equipment in Wash Bay
- Uses auto scrubber to sweep and clean Plant Floor areas
- Cleans proofers, ovens, coolers, mixers, and other equipment on a schedule
- Disinfects walls, floors, work surfaces, tables on a schedule, sanitizing floor drains
- Cleans vents, filters, other machinery on schedule
- Assists in other areas as needed relieves in office cleaner duties as needed
- Wipes all hand surfaces such as doors, fire extinguishers, windows/glass areas

**Work Environment**:

- Hot/cold, dusty, noisy, work with industrial chemicals
- Standing, walking, climbing, lifting, stooping, kneeling
- Reports equipment concerns to Sanitation Supervisor

**Qualifications and Skills Required**:

- Fluent written/verbal communications skills in the English Language
- Janitorial training/experience in Food Companies is an asset
- Ability to work with diverse workgroup, foster a positive work environment
- General knowledge of cleaning products and methods
- Deadline-oriented, ability to work independently, multi-tasked workload
- Ability to use problem-solving skills, be resourceful in finding solutions
- Physically fit, capable of lifting, long periods of standing and walking
- Ability to use heavy-duty cleaning equipment, such as pressure washers, soap foamers, etc.

**Note**: CSA approved steel toe shoes/boots are required

**Shift**:

- Shift - 3:00pm - 11:15pm, Monday through Friday
- $1.00 shift differential
- Some flexibility is needed at times when major projects with tight deadlines occur
