Job Title: Assistant/Shift Manager

**Job Type**: Full-Time / Part-Time (as applicable)

Location: Mount Albert, East Gwilimbury

About the Role

Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate staff during shifts to ensure efficient operations.
- Oversee food preparation and service while maintaining food safety and quality standards.
- Manage cash handling and maintain accurate records through POS systems (Micros POS experience is an asset).
- Train, mentor, and evaluate team members to promote a positive and productive work environment.
- Support recruitment efforts by assisting with staff interviews and onboarding.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant work environment in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Address and resolve customer inquiries or concerns promptly and professionally.
- Collaborate with management on scheduling, inventory control, and process improvements.

**Qualifications**:

- Previous experience in restaurant or food service management (required).
- Strong leadership and team supervision skills.
- Knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations.
- Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
- Experience with cash handling and POS systems (Micros POS preferred).
- Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends.
- Hospitality, hotel, or barista experience is an asset.
