- and home-based supports throughout southern and central Ontario.
**Barrantes & Associates Inc**., **and Barrantes Group Living Inc.** are seeking a Behaviour Associate devoted to helping clients achieve their goals in our Barrantes Group Living homes for the following Part Time lines:
**Part Time Line Option 1**:
Week 1:
Monday, Saturday 7am-3pm
Week 2:
Sunday, Friday 7am-3pm
Week 3:
Monday, Saturday 3pm-11pm
Week 4:
Sunday, Friday 3pm-11pm
Total: 16 hours
**Part Time Line Option 2**:
Week 1:
Monday, Saturday 3pm-11pm
Week 2:
Sunday, Friday 3pm-11pm
Week 3:
Monday, Saturday 7am-3pm
Week 4:
Sunday, Friday 7am-3pm
Total: 16 hours
Each position (**Associate I**, and **Associate II**) requires unique qualifications and experience levels. A successful applicant must:
- Maintain a high standard of care, compassion, and commitment.
- Have the proven ability to work in a collaborative and multidisciplinary setting.
- Have the proven ability to work with clients of all demographics; including, but not limited to clients with dual diagnoses, developmental disabilities, and complex behaviours.
- Follow BSP and ISP plans as directed by leadership.
- Follow Programming requirements as directed by leadership.
- Ensure meal preparation and housekeeping tasks are completed during shift.
- Be familiar with behaviour skills training and teaching replacement behaviours.
- Be familiar with task analysis, prompt fading, and identifying functions of behaviour.
- Possess a valid driver’s license and maintain access to a vehicle for travel in the community.
- Possess valid First Aid and CPR training.
- Possess a valid Diploma or Degree in a relevant field.
- Be able to obtain a valid, negative Vulnerable Sector Check.
- Possess vehicle insurance with $2,000,000 liability coverage & updated drivers abstract.
- Possess an updated vaccination record.
**Responsibilities**:
- Develop and maintain rapport with clients in Barrantes Group Living homes as required.
- Assist with and advocate for clients’ needs.
- Implement effective behaviour management strategies.
- Create a supportive and collaborative environment in order to maximize clients’ potential.
- Provide urgent response for clients in crisis.
- Complete clinical documentation.
- Collaborate and communicate with team members as needed.
**Other responsibilities**:
- Participate in ongoing professional development through company workshops and/or external learning opportunities.
- Maintain confidentiality of client and company information.
**Education**:
- **Associate I & II** completion of recognized degree or diploma program or a minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the social service sector.
**Experience**:
- **Associate I**:1 to 3 years in the social service sector.
- **Associate II**:3+ years in the social service sector.
- Additional training in behaviour management and modification is considered an asset.
- Safe Management Group training considered an asset.
