**The Challenge Ahead**:
- As an **Audio Technical Art Lead** on **UFC**, you are all about building the best possible systems and workflows, enabling your team to deliver the highest quality audio for a globally recognized AAA title. Your focus is on ensuring your title’s data-driven runtime systems and department are operating at peak performance. You will assist the audio lead in realizing their vision for audio by planning, building and delegating the creation of quality workflows, sourcing and creating robust and future facing tech and data, and supporting artists throughout the dev cycle. You will collaborate with your director, fellow artists, engineers, other game teams, central technology teams and the community at large. You are a key component of your audio team and identify risks, share solutions, seek help and resources internally and externally to your teams and contribute with a positive, inclusive attitude.
**Who you are**:
- As an Audio Technical Art Lead, you are
- Passionate about creating unique and engaging audio experiences-
- Technically inclined, having worked on personal and professional projects in the audio technical space, such as building video games, Max/Pure Data patches, VST plugins or other processing tools-
- Interested in video games and player experience-
- Someone who can drive innovation and motivate a team to build the right tech, considering production timelines and limitations, and accounting for requirements to ship the audio vision**Responsibilities**:
**Plan** the technical art roadmap for your title-
**Identify**risks and mitigation strategies-
**Build**audio runtime systems with visual programming and scripting languages-
**Create, extend and manage** simple and complex audio assets and structures-
**Support artists** by training, debugging and developing/improving workflows-
**Optimize and debug** runtime audio data to work and fit within modern console limitations-
**Document**data structures, workflows and best practices-
**Communicate**designs, best practices and risks to your team and the greater EA community**Qualifications**:
- Significant leadership experience on a production team-
- Significant experience in audio in video games and/or movie/television production-
- Experience with both visual programming and text-based scripting/coding languages, with 5+ years’ experience in at least one language-
- Significant experience debugging workflows, pipelines or runtime systems or assets-
- Significant experience in content/data management-
- Significant experience developing workflows-
- A creative mindset with focus on how to improve product quality and team productivity**COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS**
**PAY RANGES**
- British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria)
- $96,400 - $133,900 CAD
In British Columbia, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
