**Title**: Epidemiologist
**Salary**: $100,926 - $116,169 per year (pay range explained below)
**Contract**: Term until March 31, 2027
**Hours**: 8:30am - 4:30pm (core hours 9am-3pm Mon-Fri)
**Location**: Sinclair Office, Metro Vancouver, located on the traditional, ancestral Coast Salish Territories of the Squamish, Musqueam & Tsleil-Wuatuth Nations (Hybrid working is an option in line with FNHA’s flex work policy). Please note, this role will be relocating to our new office building in North Vancouver on Tsleil-Waututh Nation (TWN) land, south of Mount Seymour Parkway, after Summer 2026.

**About the role**
As an Epidemiologist, you will provide epidemiological analysis and advice to a variety of fields including population health, health and wellness indicators, health surveys, development of surveillance systems, research approaches, data analysis, and preparation of data for internal and external audiences. This position leads epidemiological activities specific to a project on enhanced Mental Health Surveillance through a two-eyed seeing approach, funded by the Public Health Agency of Canada. This position will be responsible for the development of processes, tools, data and knowledge translation products for various audiences including First Nations communities in BC. This position works in collaboration with team members to develop a consolidated mental health surveillance agenda by providing specialized epidemiological input, knowledge translation and dissemination. This position builds and maintains internal and external partnerships key to ensure successful knowledge exchange
**About you**
To be successful in this role you will have;
**Education and Experience**
- Bachelor’s Degree in Epidemiology or Statistics or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
- Minimum 3 years of related experience
**You may have experience in;**
- Knowledge of First Nations perspectives on health, wellness, and health information governance.
- Knowledge of concepts, theories, techniques, and principles of epidemiology.
- Knowledge of computer programming techniques is necessary to participate in the development of databases and to write programs to perform statistical analyses
- Ability to do analysis with computer software such as Microsoft Office, SPSS, STATA, or SAS/R.
- Ability to plan, design, and construct epidemiological and statistical analyses and surveys

The Pay Range is the minimum (Step 1) and maximum (highest Step) annual base salary based on full time equivalent hours. Internal employee compensation will be determined as per the FNHA Employee Total Compensation Policy.
