**Family Meats 2011 Ltd. is one of the largest provincially inspected processors in Alberta. We are currently recruiting Meat Packaging team members for our Ponoka, AB facility.**

**As a member of the team you will be responsible for, but not limited to**:
**General Responsibilities**:

- Complies with all plant rules and safety regulations
- Performs cleanup duties at equipment areas, workstations, etc.
- Collaborates with team members and participates in team discussions to achieve goals
- Proactively makes suggestions/proposals to strive for continuous improvement of performance
- Demonstrates flexibility to perform various job roles within the manufacturing process as assigned
- Provides relief to positions of prior qualification as required

**Job Duties**:

- Participates in the shipping, receiving, organizing, storing and issuing of product and ensures shipments are prepared for delivery driver
- Load finished product onto a truck.
- Cleans cut floor/ coolers for the purpose of maintaining a safe and sanitary work area.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Loads product onto trailers, pallets and pallet jacks.
- Lifts, carries, pushes and pulls product on a continuous and repetitive basis for approximate shifts of 8 to 10 hours.
- Using Telehandler/ Zoom BooM/Fork lift

**Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities**:

- Must be able to perform multiple, non-technical tasks with a potential need to upgrade skills in order to meet changing job conditions.
- Ability to understand and follow instructions regarding work duties and safety methods.
- Specific abilities required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: meeting deadlines and schedules; setting priorities; physical stamina.
- Ability to discern numbers and information in order to sort packages correctly
- Must be able to work effectively in freezer/ refrigerated/ cooler environment.
- Ability to make up orders involving case counts in a timely matter.
- Previous forklift experience considered an asset.

**Salary**: From $19.00 per hour
