Kimpex, a subsidiary of the Soucy Group, is a designer and distributor of parts and accessories for motorsports. You will be called upon, through your knowledge and leadership, to take charge of operations related to transportation, customs and to optimize our processes.

*Please note* Kimpex does not own a fleet of trucks; there is no dispatching to do We only use third party carriers for our receiving and shipping.

Here's an overview of your tasks:

- Analyze inbound, outbound and inter-site transportation costs to minimize costs and meet budgets
- Negotiate rates and services with carriers and freight brokers, then track costs
- Supervise day-to-day operations, including two transportation agents
- Supervise the activities of our brokers for Canadian and American customs clearance activities
- Obtain missing information and documents required for the clearance of goods
- Follow up on all overseas orders (container tracking) and liaise with affected departments (purchasing, sales, service, distribution)
- Continuously improve the customs and transportation processes at Kimpex

**DESIRED PERSONAL SKILLS**:

- Technical in Transport Logistics
- Minimum of 5 years experience in the field of logistics, transportation and customs or any other experience deemed relevant
- Fluency in English (spoken and written)
- Skilled negotiator
- Mobilizing leadership
