Job Description Job Title: Dental Assistant
The Dental Assistant is responsible for helping a licensed Dentist in their day-to-day duties and responsibilities. The task of a Dental Assistant generally include record keeping, performing X-rays, and scheduling appointments with patients. The role comes with a variety of responsibilities such as teaching patients proper dental care, teaching patients proper ortho care along with preparing the room and its equipment. To work closely with the organization to deliver quality dental care and service to patients in line with RCDSO, Ontario Public Health, Health & Safety, Employment and any other legislation such as IPAC.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES HUMAN RESOURCES/TEAM MANAGEMENT
**Ensure all clinical areas are clean, neat and free from clutter and prohibited/unnecessary materials at all times**
- Ensure all storage areas are well-stocked, clean, neat and free from clutter and prohibited/unnecessary materials at all times
- Ensure all treatment plans are entered into Curve Hero and presented appropriately to the patient
- Proficient in using Itero Scanner and ability to scan in under 7minutes
- Monitor dental supply and inventory on a weekly basis and monthly basis
- Suggest effective action plans to maintain supplies costs within budget and how to keep costs below budget.
- Maintain patient relation through ongoing dialogue with patients before, during, and after treatment
- Identify and respond to dissatisfied patients with the appropriate recovery action
- Conduct care calls post treatment as needed
- Support clinical department by ensuring instruments and equipment are in working condition, sterile, disinfected, and ready to use
- Ensure that the set up of operatory is complete and ready for patient arrival
- Ensure all binders and logs are documented properly at all times
- Ensure practice cleanliness
- Actively manage complaints
- Attend monthly group Practice Manager meetings/in house CE training
- Ensure to comply and operate within all company policy and procedures
- Ensure full Health & Safety compliance by all team members
QUALIFICATION:
- Completion of Level I and II Dental Assisting
- HARP Certified
- Minimum 2 years’ experience of Dental assisting is preferred
- Experience in Curve Here is considered an asset
- Update certification in WHIMIS

**Salary**: $21.00-$30.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift

**Experience**:
