Systems Administrator

Laserglow Technologies is a successful and growing optoelectronics company headquartered in Toronto. We are light enthusiasts who provide innovative Virtually Projected walkways, safety signs, truck docking lasers, crane and forklift lights using the latest laser and LED technologies.

**Required skills and knowledge**:

- Microsoft 365 administration
- Local network administration
- User access control and identity management
- Hardware troubleshooting and repair
- Administration of Microsoft Azure Active Directory, Intune, Endpoint Manager
- Configuration of Azure-hosted apps and databases.
- DNS administration
- Mail server admin (MS365) and mail deliverability best-practices.
- Knowledge of security best-practices for data and identity.
- VOIP service administration
- Sourcing and purchasing IT hardware, software, and services.
- Ability to learn new technologies on the fly is paramount.
- Experience in DevOps, supporting the development environment for small software development teams
- Database administration
- WordPress hosting

**WORKING CONDITIONS**:

- Hours of work: Flexible recurring business hours, full time.
- On site at our North York office
- Strong independent worker, Fast-paced environment, shifting priorities and timelines, complex decision making, extended periods of concentration, and problem solving.

**Education and Experience**:

- University or College Education and 3+ years of relevant industry experience.
- MCSE and/or CISSP Certification desirable.
- Technical lead experience

**LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS**:

- Must be able to fluently read, write and communicate verbally in English.

- A user from engineering calls to report a network connectivity problem causing a loss in productivity for the entire department. After an hour of troubleshooting, you are able to resolve the issue by rebooting an unmanaged 8 port network switch that glitched. What actions do you take after resolution?
