Underwriting Assistant, Commercial Lines

Reporting to the Commercial Lines Supervisor - Ontario, the Underwriting Assistant is responsible for assisting the Commercial Lines Underwriters with the development and successful execution of broker and territory-level business plans for our Ontario brokers in accordance with the regional commercial business plan for profitability, growth, retention, and service standards.

**Specific Responsibilities**
- Data entry to issue commercial lines policy documents
- Setting up and monitoring abeyances
- Ordering inspections
- Maintaining internal logs
- If required covering reception on an as-needed basis

**Experience and Training**
- Post-secondary school education or comparable previous office experience.
- Prior experience completing data entry is an asset.

**Qualities and Aptitudes**
- Good communication skills (verbal and written)
- Efficient and accurate keyboarding
- Strong attention to detail
- Team player with a positive attitude

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
