**Role and Responsibilities**:
We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative **Accounting Support Officer** to cover a 16- 18-month Maternity Leave term within our Finance team at the Rosetown Administration Complex. However, we welcome applicants from across Saskatchewan that would be willing to work from a Prosperity service location.

Reporting to the Accounting Supervisor, this role plays a key part in maintaining financial integrity and supporting operational efficiency across the organization.

As an Accounting Support Officer, you will:
**Ensure Financial Accuracy and Compliance**
- Reconcile general ledger and internal accounts, verify overnight postings
- Process transactions including payroll, government remittances, and accounts payable/receivable
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
- Administer GL for various clearing settlements and manage deposit account and foreign exchange rates
- Monitor ATM cash balances and provide branch support for ATM-related issues

**Drive Operational Efficiency**
- Identify and implement innovative approaches to improve productivity and profitability
- Monitor financial transactions and influence accurate reporting to support decision-making
- Provide regular updates and reports to the Manager, Accounting
- Adhere to all regulatory requirements, security procedures, and internal controls

**Support Team Growth and Development**
- Provide training and mentorship to support employee development
- Contribute to a collaborative, solutions-focused environment
- Support other projects and duties as assigned

**Qualifications**:

- Accounting degree or diploma preferred, or a combination of equivalent education and experience
- Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Familiarity with banking systems is considered an asset

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 18 months

Pay: $48,800.00-$61,000.00 per year
