Women entrepreneurs face unique challenges and opportunities; we provide our members and clients with the support needed to overcome challenges and take advantage of exciting opportunities as they start their ventures or grow their existing business. Our goal is to make sure women entrepreneurs succeed in business.

NLOWE’s mandate is simple... provide programs and services that connect and support women within Newfoundland and Labrador to start, grow and advance their businesses.

Position Overview

As the Marketing and Communications Coordinator, you are responsible for leading NLOWE’s communications outreach, including managing social media channels and developing and managing all marketing materials, including The Advisor magazine. The Marketing and Communications Coordinator is also responsible for updating and maintaining website content and supporting the planning and promotion of NLOWE’s Annual Conference and Entrepreneurial Excellence Awards, including honoring sponsorship agreements. The Marketing and Communications Coordinator assists with delivering membership benefits related to marketing and communications throughout the year.

Reporting

In this role you will report to the Director of Administration and Special Projects

Functional Relationships

As the Marketing and Commination’s Coordinator, you will work directly with NLOWE members and clients and the Director of Administration and Special Projects. From time-to-time you may also work with the Business Growth Advisors, Business Start-Up advisors, Special Project Coordinators, Export Consultant, Office Manager, and CEO.

Primary Work Location

You will work at NLOWE’s head office located at 84-86 Elizabeth Avenue in St. John’s, NL.

Nature of Position

Hours

In this role you are expected to work 35 hours per week. Hours are typically worked Monday to Friday, 8:30 - 4:30. From time-to-time, evening and weekend support may be required for special events.

NLOWE offers a competitive compensation package with medical benefits and generous annual leave. NLOWE offers a hybrid work model and employees work in the St. John’s office 3 days/week and work from home 2 days/week.

Job Responsibilities
- Publication & layout of The Advisor, NLOWE’s quarterly magazine
- Creates & uploads content for all social media platforms
- Updates content for two websites (NLOWE & The Advisor)
- Graphic Design & photoshop
- Edits videos and multimedia
- Creates formal presentations with speaker notes
- Writes articles, press releases, and RFPs
- Coordinates and promotes NLOWE events
- Coordinates with 3rd party vendors
- Manages all other NLOWE publications ensuring appropriate layout and on-time production

Education and experience
- Degree in Marketing or related field
- Minimum 3 years of relevant marketing and communications experience

Knowledge
- Knowledge of digital software (Indesign and Photoshop)
- Knowledge of common software (Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Teams, Onedrive, Zoom, etc.)
- Knowledge of social media platforms, website design and content creation

**Salary**: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
