**We anticipate the job (**your training**) to start in early May in Nisku, AB.**

**This position involves**:

- **Working away from home, in the field across western Canada, for extended periods**
- Weed identification and record keeping
- Inventory and equipment management
- Equipment operation and maintenance
- Quality customer contact and public relations

**Conditions of employment**:

- Be 18 years of age or older
- Be able to pass a Drug (Cannabis) and Alcohol test
- Have valid class 5 driver’s license **for at least 2 years within Canada**
- Provide a driver’s abstract suitable to our insurance
- Standard First Aid Level C certification with AED
- H2S Alive
- CSO/CSTS 2020

**These certifications are an added bonus**:

- UTV Safety Training
- Herbicide Applicator License (BC, AB, SK, MB)
- Wildlife/Bear Awareness
- Class 1 or 3 driver’s license
- Confined space

**We want people who**:

- Have strong written and verbal communication skills
- Have a great attitude and are safety focused
- Are in good health, bondable and energetic
- Are willing to work with others outdoors for long hours with overtime

**Expected compensation for**full-season** **participation is as follows** (this estimate is based on previous seasons; staff are paid hourly). The wages are $20-25 per hour depending on experience.

First year VMT $14,000-$18,000 plus meal allowance paid over the course of the season

Second year VMT $16,000-$22,000 plus meal allowance paid over the course of the season

Third year VMT $19,000-$24,000 plus meal allowance paid over the course of the season

**Accommodation and meal allowances are provided while working away from home base.**

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract, Seasonal
Contract length: 4 months

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 60 per week
