**Bartender Job Description**
**OVERVIEW**

Bartenders are responsible for providing welcoming, enthusiastic, knowledgeable, professional, attentive service, enhancing the guest experience through making recommendations and promoting menu items, prepare, mix and serve drinks and beverages correctly to either customers directly or through serving staff, efficient and organized section and side work management.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Well groomed, smiles readily, friendly manner, excellent first impression
- Able to communicate well with a wide variety of people, reads guests, adapt tone and build rapport.
- Able to describe menu items and beverages in an appetizing way, confident promotion of menu items and making beverage substitutions when required.
- Team player, works productively and engages well with team members
- High energy, shows a sense of urgency
- Eye for detail and understanding of drink mixing tools and techniques
- Works well under pressure, maintains a pleasant demeanor under stress
- Well organized and efficient, attentive to detail and multitasking
- S.I.R. accreditation

**KEY RESPOSIBILITIES**:

- Presents themselves professionally, e.g.: Well groomed, dress code
- Provides friendly, enthusiastic, attentive professional services throughout guest visit
- Orchestrates the experiences of guests, through positive and professional service
- Maintains a thorough knowledge of menu items, drinks, specials, and promotions in order to be able to make recommendations and answer questions with enthusiasm and confidence
- Selecting and mixing ingredients, garnishing glasses, and serving beverages to guests and servers
- Takes care of side duties, stock up and clean up as required
- Maintains high standards in safety, cleanliness, and food safety
- Accurately and efficiently uses POS system and processes payments
- Assists the service team as needed, including opening and closing tasks and other duties designated by Management or Service Leader.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Full-time

- 4 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Night shift
