**Minimum Qualifications**:
- Valid DZ driver’s license and clean abstract
- Knowledge of the Highway Traffic Act and municipality by-laws
- Knowledge of operating equipment
**Preferred Qualifications**:
- Previous experience driving a ready-mix concrete truck
- Ability to lift 50lbs
- Mechanically inclined
- Basic understanding of concrete
**Day in the Life**:
As a Ready Mix Driver, you will begin to know the highways like the back of your hand, as you will be responsible for transporting precious cargo, operating and driving straight and articulated trucks, and loading/unloading materials. Strong communications skills will also be necessary as you coordinate with clients, customers and dispatch.
When you are not driving, you will be conducting daily circle checks on vehicles, cleaning, and performing equipment maintenance but safety will be your number one priority. It will also be important to stay organized when completing daily timesheets and log books.
