WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:
This position will lead the Quebec and eastern Canada sales team and region to enhance our market share and drive profitable growth. This will include leading all aspects of 4-5 employees, and the territories sales business. This will include daily management of the Quebec sales office, organizing planning/reviewing meetings with our distributor partner(s), overseeing our Channel direction and leading Key Accounts to ensure maximum market penetration of HOFFMAN products in the territory.
- Lead all aspects of the achievement of the sales quota for 4-5 employees and grow a defined sales territory with key accounts including both direct and thru distribution/channel sales
- Will travel 40-60% of the time and report into Saint - Eustache sales office
- Regularly meet with Distributor/Channel Reps to develop greater understanding of their needs from the HOFFMAN product line and brand strategies and initiatives to achieve sales goals
- Hold distributor and sales office’s meetings to update sales teams on promotions, introduce innovation, and receive input from the sales representatives to develop share of mind
- Work with sales team to identify distribution voids and develop a gap closing plan
- Work cross functionally with global product category teams, marketing, customer care, pricing, global accounts and operations, in order to achieve company goals
- Facilitate conflict resolution between staff, customers, distributors and factory
- Maintain knowledge of competitors’ activities throughout assigned region
- Coach/mentor direct employees and reps agencies to exercise discipline in sales process and company expectations regarding sales opportunities and growth
- Conduct written performance reviews of all sales representatives and/or rep agencies annually
- Champion a collaborative team environment with open communication, identifying problems and establishing resolutions while driving continuous improvement
- Promote knowledge sharing to strengthen technical depth of staff, ensure responsive operational support, and enable process improvements
- Determine staffing needs and schedules in support of strategic plans

YOU HAVE:

- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, marketing, or related field preferred
- Ability to fluently speak both english and french languages
- Ideally 8+ years in an outside sales role in an electrical or industrial market along with ideally 5+ years in a leadership level capacity
- Knowledge of products within the electrical, electronic, or automation industry
- Knowledge and understanding of selling through a channel/distribution model as well as manufacturer’s reps
- Skill associated with selling to multiple types of customers, including distributors, integrators/consultants, engineers, contractors and end users/OEMs
- Ability to develop and leverage partnerships to drive the strategic plan. Consistently demonstrates alignment to organizational strategy to advance opportunities.
- Ability to adapt to constantly evolving business circumstance and have the ability to thrive in a constantly evolving business environment.
