Langley, Canada KSM Stainless Steel Fabricators Ltd. Full time

Busy Steel laser cutting and fabrication shop in Langley is looking for a team player with a good work attitude. We have been in business for 45 years and are currently looking for a laser cutting assistant that will operate two steel laser cutters, as well as perform shipping and receiving duties.

This is a permanent, full-time, Day Shift position, hours are 7:30am to 4:00pm, Monday through Friday.
In-house training will be provided. Forklift certification is preferred but not essential.

Duties include:

- following verbal instructions
- reading shop drawings
- working in a fast paced environment
- measuring plate and cut pieces
- handling metal sheet/plate with forklift
- set up and operate laser cutting machines
- reconcile parts as shown on work order, complete appropriate paperwork
- communicate with programmers and fabricators regarding projects.

Qualifications required:

- communication in English (speaking, reading and writing)
- reading shop drawings
- measuring with tape measure and digital calipers
- comfortable with basic math
- good work ethic
- good physical condition - must be able to lift 50lbs
- positive attitude.
