**Overview**

BjörnBear is a grooming studio located in downtown Toronto (Little Italy), offering high-quality, in-home grooming services to local residents. To accommodate increasing demand from our growing clientele, we’re looking to hire a full-time dog groomer.

You’ll enjoy your own independent grooming space, equipped with dedicated grooming and washing stations. As a full-time groomer, you’ll be expected to perform full grooms on dogs independently, or collaboratively. Please refer to below for specifics on key qualifications and job responsibilities.

**Key Qualifications**
- Expertise in breed-standard cuts and the ability to groom dogs of all sizes are essential.
- A gentle and compassionate approach to grooming is required, with the capability to handle nervous, anxious, senior, or reactive pets.
- Openness to learning and developing new skills is highly valued.
- A proactive approach to monitoring and assessing personal performance, as well as contributing to the improvement of the practice, is expected.
- Flexibility and adaptability in response to changing situations are necessary qualities.
- Must be available to work full-time on weekdays, and weekends if needed

**Responsibilities**:

- Independently perform grooming services | Including but not limited to: bathing, brushing, clipping, and styling, in accordance with breed standards and client specifications.
- Evaluate physical condition | Identify and report any issues with a pet’s skin, coat, or other physical abnormalities requiring attention.
- Customer Service | Effectively communicate with pet owners regarding their pets' needs and grooming options.
- Clean Grooming Space | Clean and sanitize grooming area, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly cleaned after each use.
- Physical Competence | Handle (i.e., lift, move) large or heavy pets as required during the grooming process.
- Stay Informed | Keep up on the latest grooming trends, techniques, and products to continuously enhance service quality.

**Required Documents**

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
