**Career description**
Our firm is looking for an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator/Supervisor to help sustain our growth trajectory. Currently, we have multiple projects on the go and Large projects that require multiple crews to operate on the same site. This is a perfect opportunity for anyone who wants to be part of building a multi-million dollar company.
We are a non-union general contractor with a focus on environmental, civil infrastructure and landscaping. These typically include, parks, stormwater management ponds, armourstone retaining walls, precast retaining walls, in-water works, shoreline rehabilitation, heavy earth moving, rough and fine grading, tree planting, concrete pathways and pads, sewer and watermain, tennis and basketball courts and some roadworks.
Minimum 5 years experience operating excavator and/or Dozer
**Skills Recommended**:
- Experience with Storm and sanitary sewers and asset.
- Ability to read blueprints, shop drawings and hand sketches
- Ability to read grade stakes, batter boards, benchmarks and other site grading methods
- Able to lead a team to complete multiple tasks of varying difficulty
- Able to plan ahead to let project supervisor or project manager coordinate various materials and trades.
**Salary**: $25.00-$40.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 10 hour shift
Supplemental pay types:
- Bonus pay
**Experience**:
- heavy equipment operator: 5 years (preferred)
- Construction: 5 years (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- Class G Licence (preferred)
