The clinic is well designed in order to facilitate good workflow, and we have space to grow. Coxwell currently has four full time vets, equipped with a well rounded support staff and a great management team to support our staff. Our new animal care assistant will be an integral part of our team.

The role of the ACA is one that demands great versatility. Your primary objectives are excellent client and patient care at all times. Your time will be divided equally amongst hospital upkeep, caring for pets, assisting the veterinarians or technicians, and administrative duties such as labelling leashes and carriers and other pet belongings, updating the whiteboard when animals are discharged. It is our commitment and pleasure to work with our clients to ensure we provide the best advice and care at all times.

ACA duties may include but aren't limited to,
- Hospital clean up and maintenance
- Educate clients on basic animal wellness issues such as vaccines, spaying, neutering, nutrition, and parasite prevention.
- Restraining animals for the doctor or technician to provide treatments
- Patient care such as walking, feeding, providing litterboxes and water. Ensuring the overall cleanliness and comfort of our patients for the entire duration of their stay with us
- A background with a strong focus on excellent customer service (required)
- Outgoing personality with willingness to learn
- Excellent attention to detail
- Able to work with a team and individually
- Quick learner
- Excellent communication skills.

This position will be full time. Our clinic is open (Mon - Sat) and shifts vary so flexibility is key.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $16.00-$18.00 per hour
