The Animal Clinic is privately owned and has been serving Torontonians since 1968 Our clinic is built on the meaningful, lasting connections we make with pets and their parents. We provide exemplary care to dogs and cats from Toronto and beyond. Our mission is to lead with compassion and curiosity, allowing us to continually innovate and build the animal-human bonds that last a lifetime. The Animal Clinic proudly provides our team members with a living wage, that ensures they can afford to live in the community that they work in.
What you’ll do:
- Assist veterinarians and technicians with procedures such as exams and diagnostics
- Provide daily care for pets in daycare and boarding, providing doctors with any necessary updates to pets’ health
- Follow established maintenance and safety protocols when executing daily tasks
- Create and update accurate records of animal observations, treatments, and client communications in a timely and professional manner
- Ensure the cleanliness of animal housing spaces including but not limited to hospital areas, boarding kennels, and daycare

**Qualifications**:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to lift 22.7 kg (50 lbs) and work on your feet amid unpleasant animal-related noises, smells, and more
- Continued education (e.g.: veterinary assistant certificate) is a plus
- Experience with animals, especially in a veterinary setting, is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and protocols
- Ability to work effectively within a team
