We're growing fast and looking for more awesome people to join us. **Your next career**: The Financial Controller is responsible for direct supervision of all accounting and financial functions. Primary responsibilities include management of the general ledger, supervision of the monthly close process, management of accounts receivable, supervising accounts payable, and overseeing tax compliance. The Financial Controller is also part of a team that creates and implements policies and procedures to identify, resolve and document accounting issues in addition to creating procedures to make the close and reporting processes more efficient and accurate. The Financial Controller will collaboratively build a team of highly engaged finance professionals and be a strategic and financial advisor to the executive team and business owners across the company. **Your Responsibilities**: - Plan, direct, and coordinate all accounting operational functions for all global entities - Manage the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary for an accurate accounting of consolidated business results - Coordinate and preparing internal and external financial statements - Subject matter expert with respect to current and upcoming US GAAP pronouncements requirements and ensuring current technical accounting is in compliance with US GAAP - Provide management with information vital to the decision-making process - Manage the accounting, reporting, and productivity of assets and liabilities including management of cash - Ensure and coordinate appropriate sales tax compliance in Canada, US and EU - Assess current accounting operations, offering recommendations for improvement, and implementing new processes - Evaluate accounting and internal control systems - Evaluate the effectiveness of accounting software and supporting database, as needed - Develop and monitoring business performance metrics - Oversee regulatory reporting, frequently including tax planning and compliance - Lead, develop, mentor, and train a team of values-engaged financial professionals ensuring they have the skills and resources to perform their roles and achieve their OKRs while encouraging them to advance their careers. - Ensure that members of the Accounting and Reporting team are strong and capable financial leaders, resources, colleagues, and mentors for others in the Company. **What you bring to the table**: - Have 7+ years of financial accounting, reporting and management experience. - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business. CPA, CA designation required. - Strong technical knowledge of US GAAP is required - Strong analytical and organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to prioritize and meet deadlines. - Strong interpersonal skills with ability to multitask, manage a high volume of transactions, and meet deadlines under pressure - Are a self-starter and able to work independently with mínimal supervision in a fast-paced and unstructured setting - Effective written and verbal communication skills - Are PC proficient with strong experience in Microsoft Excel and other Office programs.
