**_Laurel Heights Retirement Residence is seeking an Evening Resident Care Manager._**

The Resident Care Manager is responsible to assist the Director of Resident Care, to plan, direct coordinate and supervises the overall care services program for the residents within the facility. The goal is to achieve a high standard of care, ensuring safety, and to promote quality of life for all residents in a home like environment.

1. Current registration as Licensed Practical Nurse with the relevant Provincial Nurses College.

2. Possession of certificate of basic life support at basic rescuer level (minimum).

3. Must be a competent person as defined by the Occupational Health and Safety Act.

4. Received at least two (2) doses of a Health Canada approved Covid-19 vaccine.

Competency Criteria
- Is qualified because of knowledge, training and experience to organize the work and its performance;
- Has knowledge of any potential or actual danger to health or safety in the workplace.

4. Experience in geriatric, rehabilitation or long-term care nursing is desirable.

5. Knowledge of the nursing process.

6. Post-graduate in study in geriatrics desirable.

7. Post-graduate study in nursing administration desirable.

8. Possession of good leadership, communication and diplomatic relations skills.

9. Possession of skill in planning, coordination and supervising a comprehensive nursing care program.

Reports directly to the Director of Care for all aspects of nursing services.
