**Job description**

**Role description**:
Provide excellent customer service while overseeing the store operations and staff team during the week. Reporting to the manager, the supervisor will play a key role in maintaining the store's commitment to delivering high-quality local products to the Dartmouth community.

**Starting Date**:As soon as possible

**Job Duties**:

- Assist customers by processing payments and providing information on products or upcoming deliveries
- Receive deliveries from vendors and ensure invoices are accurate and filed properly
- Restock products and record accurate inventory numbers and place orders for outstanding products
- Ensure the visual standards and image of the store are maintained, such as store displays, signage and cleanliness
- Record special orders and phone customers when special deliveries arrive
- Ensure all floor staff are trained and updated on procedures and protocols
- Perform key holding and managerial duties as required, such as opening and closing the store, managing escalated complaints, developing and implementing marketing strategies, and signing for deliveries
- Oversee O’Bees social media by taking photos, creating posts, and making a communications plan

**Qualifications & Skills**:

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous supervision experience preferred
- Previous retail or customer service experience preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs and stand for long periods of time
- Strong attention to detail
- Personable and courteous in dealing with both customers and staff
- Communications or social media marketing experience an asset
- Knowledge and interest in local food an asset

**Job Type**:Full-time

**Expected hours**:37.5 per week

**Schedule**:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
- Evenings as needed
