Payroll Analyst

Imperial Dade Canada, leading national distributor, has a job open in Montreal. This position is responsible for processing all payroll related tasks and transactions according to Company policy and regulatory standards. This position is required to meet all regulatory deadlines and provide accurate and timely analysis and research as needed. Under general supervision, this position works closely with outside payroll provider to ensure all required reporting requirements as identified above are met.

**Responsibilities**:
- Process, reconcile and audit bi-weekly payroll for Canadian employees to ensure that Company payroll records are accurate and timely.
- Process payroll changes and maintain payroll records and data in the third-party payroll system.
- Respond to payroll-related inquiries and resolve concerns.
- Investigate and resolve payroll issues and ensure strict compliance with company and regulatory standards.
- Perform more complex payroll calculations such as leave calculations, vacation payouts, and others.
- Liaise with our HR and Benefits teams to resolve issues and answer requests and escalations.
- Support year-end processes such as tax statements, and year-end filing.
- Assist with quarterly/year end audit process with the internal/external auditors.
- Ensure standards of internal controls are maintained in support of SOX & GAAP compliance efforts.
- Support the implementation of new company standards and policies and participate in other initiatives related to assigned position.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of payroll processing/accounting experience,
- Third party payroll provider experience preferred (ADP).
- Effective communication skills with an ability to interact with a variety of team members in various departments and levels of management throughout the company.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Must be a self-starter, results driven, and capable of working autonomously with mínimal supervision in a dynamic environment.
- Team-oriented and an ability to take initiative.
- Good analytical skills.
- Strong knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Access).
- Undergraduate degree preferred from an accredited college/university.
- High level of integrity due to confidential nature of information maintained.
- Bilingual (French & English) required.
