**Summary**
Zedcor is adding to our existing sales organization with the role of outside technical sales representative (“TSR”) in the Northern Alberta region. The TSR is a crucial position as we continue to execute our growth strategy. This position is perfect for you if you are a sales professional, have excellent interpersonal skills, are confident, articulate, ambitious, adaptable and bring innovative ideas and solutions to new clients to grow and expand Zedcor’s product offerings. This position requires you to meet with customers and be a “hunter” who can drive sales and meet targets. This role is responsible for securing new customers and successfully managing and growing our sales pipeline required to achieve our business plan. While this role will report to our branch in Edmonton, the bulk of your time will be spent on the road meeting with customers throughout Northern Alberta to provide solutions.
**Summary of tasks**
- You align with Zedcor values of innovation, being a pioneer and being honest
- Travel to client locations within a designated territory to meet with clients, educate clients on Zedcor services and complete sales contracts.
- Follow up on sales leads generated through website, phone calls or other sources, either in person or by phone.
- Deliver technical presentations to new client prospects showcasing the Zedcor products and services
- Prospect potential customers using various direct methods such as cold-calling, face to face meetings, and indirect methods such as networking
- Communicate proactively with all customers quarterly, to strengthen and expand relationships
- Complete weekly sales reports, ensuring KPI’s are met or exceeded
- Gather market data on pricing, client needs, client size, etc.
- Adhere to processes and contract terms as determined by management
- Develop an intimate knowledge of product offerings and become an expert on providing solutions to solve client problems.
- Build, develop and maintain profitable business partnerships and relationships which promote long-term success for both client and Zedcor
- Establish and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Work with management to develop and monitor sales strategy and KPIs
- Monitor website and follow up promptly on sales leads generated from the site
- Assist with implementation of sales productivity software/ CRM tools
- Perform other duties as requested
**Qualifications and skills**
- 5+ years of professional sales experience in business development or B2B sales.
- Knowledge of the security industry, and specifically industrial camera solutions, is considered an asset.
- Excellent professional written and verbal communication skillsAbility to build strong relationships with customers, problem solve and provide solutions
- Strong negotiation skills
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite including Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Self-Starter, driven and motivated to work independently with little oversight
- Experience working in a fast-paced competitive environment that is results-driven
- Proven track record in prospecting, qualifying, and closing accounts over the phone and in person
- Strong hunting skills with a focus on building new business
- Successful relationship building - external and internal
- Sound decision making and strategic thinking
- Experience in CRM software
- Strong ability to work independently to efficiently manage the assigned territory and accounts
- Class 5 driver’s license with clean drivers abstract required
**Salary**: $40,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
