We’re independently owned by four partners from different disciplines. We knew there was a better way of creating work that is Central to clients today, so we built an agency around it. We’re 36 people and growing. We have a talented team of designers, developers, strategists, art directors, writers, account managers, project managers, digital marketers, and production people.

Our client roster spans a broad range of product categories. Most are Canadian, some are North American, and a handful are Global. Some use us for B2B, some B2C and others, both. Most have been with us for 7-20 years, others we’ve targeted and acquired over the past 2-3 years. Our top clients include IKO, Hudson’s Bay, Nike, KPMG, Arterra Wines, Christian Dior, Humber River Hospital, Wajax, Dyson and Levi Strauss & Company.

**Logistics**:
Our office is located at 14 Birch Avenue, in the Summerhill area of midtown Toronto, but we’ve all been working from home/remotely for the past year and a half, due to the pandemic. This is expected to continue for at least several months to come. When it’s safe to return to the office, know that we have a Flexible Work Options Policy that will see our employees benefit from a desirable balance between primarily working from home with opportunities for in-person time in the office.

The **SEO Manager** will report to the Sr Manager Digital Marketing. They will be joining a growing digital team that boasts specialties across SEO, social and paid media marketing. We thrive on delivering incremental performance growth, in a fast-paced, agile work environment. This position is full-time and we’re looking to fill it (with someone great), as soon as possible.

This team member will be responsible for strategizing and implementing SEO tactics across multiple client accounts by:

- Ensuring the efficient day-to-day technical management of these accounts
- Carrying out ‘hands on’ on-site and technical changes
- Analyzing and drawing insight from third-party analytics data
- Conducting advanced-level keyword research, developing innovative ongoing off-site strategies
- Devising and executing off-page SEO strategies for clients, helping build organic traffic and conversions
- Building and executing local SEO plans and tactics to influence traffic and conversions
- Conducting SEO audits for clients from time to time
- Writing title, and meta and implement it at the backend
- Managing deadlines for tasks in JIRA with regular updates for every task
- Building monthly and annual SEO reports with actionable insights and next steps
- Building SEO competitor scan for clients

**Must-Haves**
- At least four years of hands-on experience in search engine optimization.
- A passion for emerging platforms and good knowledge of effective SEO strategies and techniques.
- A profound understanding of how Google and other search engines rank pages.
- A thorough comprehension of HTML, CSS, and web standards.
- Profound knowledge of WordPress and other CMS and confident at executing tasks of the back end
- Expertise in various SEO tools namely SEMrush, Screaming Frog, Ahrefs
- Analytical, with the ability to interpret information, news, data, and research quickly - and distil the most important/relevant information for intelligent strategic development.
- Extensive knowledge of Google Analytics and other major third-party analytics platforms.
- Numerate and literate with the ability to produce top quality reports in Google Data Studio, PowerPoint, etc.
- A self-starter with a positive outlook and excellent attention-to-detail.
- Proactive and highly organized, with strong time management and planning skills.
- Able to meet tight deadlines and remain calm under pressure.
- Good at absorbing large amounts of information, with a general hunger for learning.
- Credible, confident, and articulate, with good communication and presentation skills.
- Innovative and creative, with a concise, precise, and effective approach to problem solving.

- To work closely with the Digital Marketing and the Project Management Team as required when developing and managing advanced strategies for high value clients.
- To develop a strong understanding of the services, competition, industry, marketing goals and objectives of each of your clients.
- To collaborate with the Project Managers to put in place specific strategies to ensure a strongly developed link portfolio for each of our clients in various SEO projects.
