Prep Cook Job Description

Starting Wage $19.00/hour + Tips

Overview:
Join our team as a Prep Cook in a fast-paced and dynamic kitchen environment. As a vital member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for assisting in meal preparation, maintaining food safety standards, and supporting the overall kitchen operations.

**Duties**:

- Collaborate with kitchen staff to assist in food preparation and meal assembly.
- Handle food items with care and adhere to proper food handling procedures.
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area.
- Support the Kitchen team in unloading and storing food supplies.
- Follow recipes and portion sizes to ensure consistency in food quality.
- Adhere to food safety guidelines and regulations at all times.
- Assist in other kitchen duties as needed, such as dishwashing or cleaning.

**Requirements**:

- Experience in a kitchen environment or similar role is preferred.
- Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and food preparation methods.
- Understanding of food safety practices and procedures.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
