Activate is a tech company known for creating Canada’s first full-scale interactive gaming facility. We are experiencing significant expansion, and are looking to expand our manufacturing team with the addition of a Material Planner/Buyer. A successful applicant will be expected to be well-versed in production, inventory and purchasing procedures and ways to optimize them. A successful applicant will also be organized and results-driven with great problem-solving skills. This is a full-time, permanent position.

**The Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Accountable for maintaining the integrity of MRP planning parameters (costing, lot size, lead times, days of supply)
- Demand analysis for executing MRP Signals such pull-ins, push-outs, cancellations
- Provide material support through communications with suppliers and placing purchase orders according to MRP requirements.
- Analyze, understand, and convert MRP messages to raw material purchase orders and plans to meet production / forecast demand.
- Responsible for the accuracy and integrity of purchasing and planning master data for assigned materials and products.
- Inventory Management - Understand and maintain the minimum necessary raw materials and finished goods inventory and report on the status of inventory levels against inventory targets

**The Qualifications**:

- Excellent knowledge of production planning and quality control principles
- Experience in vendor negotiations
- Experience in MRP II (Manufacturing resource planning)
- Working knowledge of MS Office and ERP systems
- APICs or CPIM would be considered an asset
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication abilities
