The Outside Sales Representative will assist with achieving and surpassing sales targets, the primary role of the Outside Sales Rep to ensure the successful growth of the Sudbury Auto Auctions (SAA) sales. The Sales Rep sets sales goals, tracks sales, produces sales reports, completes monthly forecasting and reviews regularly and consistently with their IAA/Sudbury manager, working as a team to ensure we are achieving targets.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Hunt, Develop and Grow new and existing accounts by executing proper sales strategies. Travel to different dealerships/Customers to assist customers with the SAA products.
- Travel outside of local area, within Northern Ontario to meet clients, and seek new business.
- Day to day includes setting up accounts, getting users connected, answering questions, and providing ad hoc training/instructions, ongoing sales and technical support to current users
- Collect data and capture (take pictures, videos and information) for wholesale vehicles for SAA auctions.
- Promote the adoption of SAA amongst franchise/Independent automotive dealerships and wholesale buyers.
- Establish and maintain an in-depth working knowledge of the current automotive wholesale industry.
- Proactively communicate and maintain excellent working relationships with SAA users and partners.
- Identify, manage and follow up on leads received through SAA, trade shows and referrals.
- Manage and update leads and current client accounts
- Ensure that any client account issues are dealt with in an efficient and amicable manner.
- Set and track sales targets for your area
- Work with IAA Marketing to Utilize Social Media Platforms to stay connected with clients and customers
- Suggest and implement improvements in the sales administration process
- Coordinate department projects to meet deadlines
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasts
- Report on sales metrics and suggest improvements
- Use customer feedback to generate ideas about new features or processes
- Research and discover methods to increase customer engagement
- Ensure sales, finance and legal policies and procedures are met
- Liaise with the Marketing and Sales departments to ensure brand consistency and increase sales
**Requirements**:
- Own vehicle with current driver’s license, and flexibility to travel up to 50%
- Professional appearance/dress
- Previous automotive experience
- Proven Sales experience, 5+ years, with a proven track record
- Must be able to “cold call” for sales growth
- Team Player - Ability to maintain an open-communication environment with the
team Customer engagement experience is a must.
