**We are currently searching for a committed, professional, and detail-oriented EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT/ WRITER.**
**1. Job Description**
This position includes BOTH administrative _and_ writing/ editing responsibilities, including (but not limited to) the following core tasks:
- Assisting with the triage and workflow of the Editor-in-Chief.
- Writing Resumes, Cover Letters, Online Profile Content (LinkedIn/ Indeed), and other documents for a wide range of clients in a professional, confidential, and accurate manner.
- Editing a range of documents, including graduate theses, manuscripts, books, and other special projects.
- Editing written content for other DocDoctor Writers/ Editors, and providing timely and accurate feedback, revisions, and finalized files.
- Other duties and special projects as assigned.
**2. Requirements**
- **Experience**: previous administrative and/or client service experience, preferably in a similar remote setting, is required. Prior writing/ editing experience is also required, which can include roles in document preparation, communications, public relations, writing clinics, academic experience, or other relevant positions. An exceptional grasp of grammar, spelling, syntax, and document construction/ formatting is required. Previous Resume writing experience is also preferred, but is not specifically required (as comprehensive, document-specific training is offered). _Please provide specific examples of relevant experience in your Cover Letter (required)._
- **Education**: a College or University degree is required. A post-graduate level degree is an asset. Relevant specialized training or certification completions are an asset. Current students with a strong academic background who are completing their studies and have adequate availability may also be considered. _Please clearly state your education level in your Cover Letter (required). _
- **Languages**: this position requires a strong command of the English language and native English proficiency. The ability to communicate in French is not required; however, bilingualism is an asset. _If you are bilingual, please describe your language proficiency in your Cover Letter (optional/ if applicable)._
- **Additional Requirements/ Core Competencies**: the ability to perform repetitive tasks (such as several repeated rounds of revisions on a file); the ability to deal with different types of clients and personalities; the ability to work well on your own with limited supervision (i.e. taking accountability); the ability to act with diplomacy, tact, and professionalism (especially when interacting with clients); and, working with honesty and integrity (i.e. keeping client goals in mind when generating any work product).
**3. Wages & Hours of Work**
The opportunity for upward advancement and increased hourly wages from the initial starting wage, following a probationary period, and following future progression, is a possibility. Quarterly, seasonal, merit-based, and year-end discretionary bonuses are also possibilities, commensurate with performance and business development. All employees have access to a corporate Healthcare/ Wellness benefits program following the statutory probationary period.
**4. How to Apply**
Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
