**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Responsible for ensuring all health and safety requirements are met at all times for the warehouses and staff.
- Ensure all warehouse personnel are sufficiently trained to perform job duties per work instructions, procedures, and policies.
- Emphasize and supervise a neat and clean workplace, including orderly storage of finished goods and packaging supplies.
- Communicate and coordinate with transport companies, supply vendors, and customers as needed.
- Maintain appropriate receiving, inventory, picking, loading, and delivery methods.
- Ensure procedures/processes/policies are consistent across locations.
- Maintain all warehouse records ensuring that all necessary documentation retained, including personnel records, evaluations, training, accidents, attendance, etc.
- Develop and manage inventory cycle-counting and aged-inventory tracking programs, and periodic wall-to-wall physical inventory counts at all locations.
- Support facility and equipment management activities, including to negotiate with various warehouses for preferential rates and services.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives at warehouses to improve cost, quality, and delivery performance.
- Find and implement cost reduction measures in all aspects of warehouse transactions and activities.
- Support cross-functional initiatives to optimize supply chain functions across Samuel Packaging.
- Drive implementation, adoption, and standardization of ERP for shipping and warehousing.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.

**EDUCATION**:

- Bachelor’s degree preferred.

**YEARS OF EXPERIENCE**:

- 8 or more years of management / supervisory experience in warehouse, supply chain, operations areas.

**SKILLS**:

- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in warehouse management, inventory management, logistics, and/or operations fundamentals.
- Proficient in MS Office, especially MS Excel.
- Strong communication skills with ability to communicate complex business problems to all levels in the organization.
- Strong leadership skills and proactive work ethic.
- Experience license to operate a lift truck preferred.
- Experience working with ERP software systems preferred (e.g. Microsoft Dynamics D365), with experience in ERP system conversions a plus.

**WORK ENVIRONMENT**:

- Normal office environment, warehouse / industrial / environment
- Ability to travel as required, 20% or more
