**Job Summary**

**Warehouse associates** are adaptable employees leveraging different skills to perform a variety of tasks within the warehouse. The warehouse staff is the backbone of our business, and the work they do allows other departments to function efficiently. They are responsible for shipping, receiving, and recording the movement of parts, supplies, equipment, and material to and from the warehouse.

**Major Responsibilities**

**Handle products which include the processing, packaging, and shipping of customer orders accurately**:

- Receive inventory - load and unload materials
- Create delivery notes
- Store, count, weigh, and open shipments received
- Take inventory of materials received and shipped
- Operate mechanical lift, winch, or vehicles to load and unload products and materials
- Process and fill warehouse orders and ensure that the products match with the right invoices and orders are fulfilled correctly to guarantee 100% customer satisfaction.
- Pack the orders ensuring they are connected to the right purchase order
- Label boxes to identify materials
- Dispose of leftover packing materials
- Inspect products for damages and keeping records of damages.

**Warehouse associates are responsible to maintain safety regulations and compliance with all applicable regulations by**:

- Maintain clean and safe workspaces to promote an efficient workspace
- Follow health and safety policies and practices to prevent accidents, and errors
- Keep workstations, pallet areas, shipment areas, and shelves clean
- Warehouse associates should strictly follow the rules and regulations
- Warehouse workers should be apt in troubleshooting the malfunctions of the machinery and equipment they work with
- Seek new ways to improve the ways to ship and store products and make the warehouse operation more efficient

**Requirements**:
**Education and Experience & Minimum Level Required**

**Education (Level and Specialty / Discipline)**:

- High school diploma/GED required

**Preferred Level**
- High school diploma/GED required

**Experience (Years of Related Experience and Type of Experience)**:

- 2 years

**Preferred Level**
- 3 years

**Technical or Professional Qualifications or Certifications / Designations**:

- Forklift license
- Other heavy machinery -pallet jacks, trucks, hand trucks
- WHIMIS training
- Warehouse Management System

**Preferred Level**
