**Key responsibilities include**:
- Manage a set of clients and ensure the bookkeeping is completed in a timely manner in accordance with client requirements.
- Complete bookkeeping projects within a set time period and within a pre-determined budget.
- Coordinate with the Bookkeeping Manager to ensure all client work is completed up to firm standards.
- Record transactions such as income, expenses and intercompany loans for the Firm’s clients, using bank and visa statements and other source documents.
- Post journal entries, maintain the chart of accounts, and prepare trial balances.
- Verify that transactions are recorded in the correct accounts in the general ledger.
- Reconcile bank and visa accounts monthly, and intercompany and loan accounts at year-end.
- Prepare financial reports such as balance sheets, comparative income statements and various transaction history reports on an annual, quarterly, or monthly basis, depending on the needs of the client.
- Maintain accounts receivable and accounts payable subledgers, ensuring payments and receipts are applied correctly.
- Provide accurate data for GST and PST returns.
- Communicate with clients if more information is needed and follow-up as necessary.
**Qualifications and skills required**:
- Experience working with owner-managed businesses
- Must have a minimum of 1 to 2 years experience using QuickBooks desk top and online
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to adhere to strict deadlines
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing demands and priorities

Pay: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
